The candidate should have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in aerospace electrical design of electrical systems, avionics panels and wire harnesses for certified aircraft.
We are looking for a person who understands that it's the details that produce exceptional designs and has a passion to share knowledge and ideas with others. The candidate possesses proficiency in at least one eCAD software package and broad knowledge of aerospace protections for lightning, emi, connectors, and wire harness design.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to develop electrical designs for various aircraft systems. You will generate electrical schematics and drawings for components and systems for our existing prototypes and new designs. You will also lead standardization of electrical components, circuitry, and develop documentation. Additional responsibilities may include connector assembly and wire harness production.
Those projects will include: eVTOL prototype as-built documentation, subscale model design, wire harness production, and eCAD / ERP integration.
Part of your responsibilities will include rolling up your sleeves for harness builds and component integration. You will be looking after our electrical tool sets, defining workflows and managing electrical component inventories.
Electrical Engineer Technical Requirements:
Familiar with: Google G-suite or MS Office, DO-160/Mil-Std-704F, FAA certified design methods, UAV control and propulsion, radio communications, aircraft avionics, electrical EMI shielding and packaging.
Expert in: KiCAD,MS Visio or eCAD software, SPICE, certified aerospace systems, aerospace supply chain (Amphenol, Deutsch, etc)
Candidate should also be a solder-iron swordsman and wire stripping aficionado. You dream of circuits securely packaged in their housings. You know harnesses are the most important part of an airplane and won't sleep until each bundle is neatly secured.
