Principal Job Responsibilities:

Architect the digital system and the digital/analog interface within power management IC products. Design the digital system within power management IC products. Verify the digital system within power management IC products. Verification Planning. Documentation and review. Support test, layout, and applications engineers. Design and simulation circuits using simulation tools such as ADICE, CADENCE. Perform simulation over different process and temperature. Interface with customers, marketing engineers to define product and specifications. Debug new silicon and make changes, if necessary. Generate preliminary datasheet with target specification and present to customers. Revise datasheet with actual design data after circuit has been designed. Create lab setups to test new ICs using test equipment, such as oscilloscope, power supplies, digital multimeter, etc.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or closely related field, such as Master of Technology in Microelectronics and VLSI Design, plus 2 years of experience involving the following: verifying digital systems such as SPI, I2C, ADC Controller for integrated circuits using UVM and System Verilog based Constrained Random Testbenches on digital-only and digital & analog mixed signal (Co-Simulation) environments; designing digital systems (such as Non-Volatile Memory Controller, ADC Controller and Clocks & Reset Controller) using Verilog HDL for microprocessor based IC products; writing test cases, simulating and analyzing results for different application scenarios of the product using C; performing synthesis, static timing analysis, clock domain crossing and lint checks on digital systems; using CAD tools such as Cadence NC Verilog and Synopsys VCS to simulate and analyze digital and mixed signal designs; preparing and reviewing hardware reference manual and microarchitecture design documents; and providing support to test, layout, and applications engineers.
